Loading... Please wait...The yerba maté gourd (lagenaria siceraria) is the traditional vessel used for preparing yerba maté tea in South America. Each gourd is fired and decorated with a burned design making each gourd unique with a slightly different sizes and shape, generally between 3.5-5" in width and height. Our gourds are imported from a small manufacturer in Argentina. Once prepared, you then use a bombilla to drink your yerba mate which eliminates the need for any type of strainer or diffuser.
