We created TEA SHOTS as a fast and convenient way to get extra nutrients into the body. All our TEA SHOTS contain MATCHA, a fantastic SUPERFOOD. Unlike regular green tea, with MATCHA you consume the entire tea leaf increasing the health benefits over regular green tea. Now you can consume other important herbs and superfoods in their entirety for increased potency and effectiveness. Because some herbs and superfoods can be a bit unpleasant to consume, we add organic flavours to our MATCHA and other amazing natural ingredients to make them enjoyable and super beneficial for you. There are many ways to enjoy our TEA SHOTS. We recommend adding them to yogurt, smoothies, juices or including them in other recipes such as energy bars or overnight oats. Check out a couple TEA SHOT recipe ideas below!
TEA SHOT CHIA PUDDINGS (Makes 2-4 servings)
2 cups milk, almond milk or soy
2 tbsp. honey, agave or sweetener
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. your choice of TEA SHOT
6 tbsp. chia seeds
Blend the milk, sweetener, vanilla, and TEA SHOT together in a blender until smooth.
Pour the liquid over the chia seeds. Stir thoroughly. Stir again every few minutes for the next fifteen minutes. Then allow the mixture to sit for at least an hour (or overnight, in the fridge).
Stir the mixture once more . Add the fruit, nuts, etc., as desired. Some suggestions are below according to the flavour of the TEA SHOT:
A Shot of Vitality - add chopped nuts or coconut
A Shot of Clarity - add mint leaves and/or fruit of choice
A Shot of Energy - add mandarin oranges or a few drops of lemon
A Shot of Detox - add apples and cinnamon
A Shot of Fuel - add mangos and coconut
A Shot of Resilience - add peaches
A Shot of Superberries - add berries and/or coconut
A Shot of Protein - add nuts
TEA SHOT OVERNIGHT OATS
We love adding all the goodness of our Tea Shots to our Overnight Oat Recipes. This is our basic recipe and then we just change up the fruits depending on which Tea Shot we're currently enjoying. This one uses our Shot of Superberries with your choice of fresh berries.
Serves One
1/2 cup gluten-free rolled oats
1 tbsp chia seeds
3/4 unsweetened almond milk (or other plant-based milk)
1tbsp sliced almonds (or other nuts)
1/2 – 1 tsp Shot of Superberries powder (depending on how strong you like it)
ADD:
optional fresh berries
optional shredded coconut
TEA SHOT PROTEIN BALLS
1 scoop protein powder (choice of flavour depending on Tea Shot used)
1 cup almond butter
1 cup crushed almonds
1/2 tsp Tea Shot of choice
1 1/2 tsp agave/honey
Use a melon baller to make the balls.
Sprinkle cinnamon, cacao, or Tea Shot powder on top.
Put in freezer on parchment paper for 2-4 hours.
