PURPLE

Sort by:

Purple tea is part of the Camellia Sinensis tea family and is grown in Kenya at high elevations (2000 metres). Purple tea contains more antioxidants than green tea and less than half the caffeine. Similar to a green tea, the tea farmers in Kenya craft purple tea as an unoxidized leaf to retain the most health  benefits. The distinctive, purple-reddish leaves are due to high levels of anthocyanins, the same antioxidants that give color to foods like blueberries, cranberries and grapes.
